We are delighted to welcome Associate Professor Adelaide Cerveira from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), Portugal, for an academic visit. Professor Cerveira is an esteemed scholar whose expertise spans Operations Research and Statistics, with applications in various fields, including Forestry Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Tourism, Applied Mathematics, and Data Science. Her research focuses on combinatorial optimization and its applications, addressing critical challenges such as forest management, optimal wind farm design, hybrid renewable energy systems, production planning, routing optimization, and statistical analysis. She has led and contributed to numerous projects that bridge mathematics with real-world problems, making significant contributions to both academia and industry.
