MPhil in Mathematics
Brief description
Chamalka Dharmasiri, currently working as a Lecturer (Probationary) at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya. She commenced my MPhil degree in 2025 at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya, where she is undertaking a full-time research programme under the supervision of Dr. Upeksha Perera. Her research is titled “Neural–Fuzzy Controller for Stabilising Hyper Chaotic Financial Systems with Self-Reinforcing Feedback Loop in Market Sentiment.” This research studies complex financial systems that exhibit chaotic and hyper-chaotic behaviour. The main objective is to design a neural–fuzzy controller to stabilise such systems, particularly when market sentiment includes a self-reinforcing feedback effect. The study combines nonlinear dynamics with intelligent control methods, while ensuring that the proposed algorithms are reliable, robust, and applicable in realistic financial settings.
